I was attending my 3rd Korpiklaani concert on wednesday and it was the best so far! Not only because of the show they put up (It was awesome of course) but I liked the most that we could meet them before the show. Not only at the dedication and when they had photos with us but they were walking around the festival area so we could meet them everywhere and talk a bit with him or taking some photos.
And they were so friendly during the whole night!
About the concert, they played 3 new songs, 2 from Korven Kuningas and the old classics. I liked Juodaan Viinaa the best. It's the perfect live song!
Now I'm looking forward the paganfest tour in september. I hope they'll be as good as this time. It was 10/10 for me now.

here's an interview with Korpiklaani and at the end it answers the 'Is Finland part of Scandinavia?' question.

we already answerd that questio in the shoutbox. Btw a lot of Fins and Scandinavians don't even know the answer themselves and give the wrng answe, so if Korpiklaani had stated the opposite that wouldn't mean they are right

The song is indeed not very brutal, but at least funny, but the rest of the album was so average that it hurts . But I like everything from "Spirit Of The Forest" to "Tarveskanto" anyway and they are sooo funny live

You mean to say the rest is even worse than Vodka Vodka? My God, that means that Britney Spears is now officially more metal than Korpiklaani.

Yes, because it as on a free sampler that came alnog with Terrorizer Magazine. And tbh Vodka Vodka makes all of Korpiklaani's previous albums and songs seem like metal masterpieces

In my (and not only mine) opinion, Vodka is one of the best Korpiklaani´s songs...and perfect for be played live...and the Vodka single cover art is genius

unfortunately the rest of the album is weak...except Juodan Viina, but it is included on this single with great cover art and Vodka song, so it is much more worth to buy just single and ignore more expensive album with nothing more to give

Vodka really is a great song. The chorus is currently acting as my ringtone. Can't wait for school to start so that one can go off in class .

I liked the rest of the album, but I think Vodka really is the strong point of it.

Ok, even though I have had no doubts about the result, I finally gave a listening to the band's new album, and... it was not a great idea. The music played is the same thing and nothing new as always. I know that for many people the innovation is not waited from Korpiklaani, but regardless... Also, I can conceive that this kind of music can be festive in concert, but really not my cup of tea.

I totally agree, but still, I think it's really good music to turn on when you're bored. For example, those pointless late nights when there's nothing to do but traverse the internet.

For me, most of Korpiklaani songs blending into some still same "background" sound...there are only a couple of their songs with strong and catchy melodies and these are those i like...the rest i call "weak" because it is nothing more like this not interesting sound background for me

I don't agree on that, their older works were enjoyable, but almost all of the new songs are bad, so somehow they changed

Even though their first releases were not bad, their first albums were far of being masterpieces or a must to have In that sense, it is not a real change .

I think only emoscreamo-mtv-rap-bullshit can be popular by doing crap music. Korpiklaani just chose their style and are sticking with it - and as we know, metalheads tend to drink very much, so Korpiklaani guys are basically geniuses
