Haken - New Album Details Revealed

Young UK prog outfit Haken has announced the title of their second album to be Visions.

The new record will be a concept album, just like the debut Aquarius, which dealt with water and ecology, though the exact concept of Visions has not yet been revealed.

Singer Ross Jennings ensures: "We are confident this album will not disappoint fans of Aquarius. As well as pulling some signature stunts, we are also trying to raise the bar with our compositions, and as individual players..."

The band has also stated that they wanted to make the album available exclusive for those attending ProgPower USA in Atlanta on Saturday, September 17th. The tentative release date is planned for the beginning of October and will be announced later.

Visions tracklist:

01. Premonition
02. Nocturnal Conspiracy
03. Insomnia
04. The Mind's Eye
05. Portals
06. Shapeshifter
07. Deathless
08. Visions

I hope the "raise the bar of their compositions" part is not just the obligatory flaff that bands tend to spew out before a new release =P

Yeah, I can't see "raising the bar of their compositions", it was already pretty high haha. Although, I thought the same thing about In Mourning and then the put out Monolith and I was pleasantly surprised.
