Avantasia - Wacken Show Live On German TV
On Saturday, August 6th, in front of more than 80,000 fans, Tobias Sammet and his Avantasia project will headline the last night of Wacken Open Air, the biggest heavy metal festival in the world.
Featuring guest stars such as Michael Kiske, Jorn Lande, Bob Catley, Kai Hansen and many more, the show will be broadcast live on German TV station "ZDFkultur" at 8:00 pm. This way all fans will have the chance to witness the only Avantasia show of the year, despite the event having been sold out for months.
After the Wacken performance Tobias will focus exclusively on his band Edguy once again. Edguy's new album Age Of The Joker will hit the stores on August 26th, followed by a world tour, kicking off in Sweden on September 23rd.

I watched a live stream of Helloween's set from Wacken last night, and it was awesome! I hope there is some way I can get to see Avantasia too..  I know Iced Earth's set (and Matt Barlow's last performance with the band before retiring) is being streamed live on Sunday, but it doesn't seem Avantasia si going to be...
