Most metalheads of any ilk I've ever met tend to have bad BO and their hair and skin are oily enough to deep fry french fries in them.

I also think most of them don't know what washing machines, vacuum cleaners, toilet cleaners or owning more than one pair of jeans is.

I don't know how people stand that. I sure as hell couldn't. I have to shampoo and conditioner my hair everyday. I also own many pairs of jeans haha.

Kataklysm is one band i dislike very much.long time ago just heard one of their song.and i guess it is very popular song.
anyway, after that song i justed hated them.

I don't think I've ever actually heard a Justin Bieber song to be honest. Not sure how that's relevant to the topic at hand either. Thanks for the compliment though.

I think he's saying if you hear one song and hate it that much, why listen to any of the others. It kind of makes sense although usually giving a band more than one-songs worth of a chance is a decent idea, you might be listening to their worst one.

I think it's weird to be appalled by one little song by Kataklysm, when the person apparently likes Death Metal, or at least some bands from that genre. But again it's not my business, I am just making an observation.

It's definitely reactionary to hate a band just because you didn't like one song. In fact if I were to ask someone what they thought of a band and they told me they listened to one song on Youtube and now hate the band, I'd probably never ask for that person's opinion about music ever again. Some bands write novelty songs like System of a Down with Bounce, or ballads like Scorpions with Wind of Change, or pure filler tracks like Korpiklaani's entire discography. You can't make an accurate assessment of a band based on one song, especially considering it might not in any way be indicative of how that band really sounds.

Well not only that, some bands have really shitty albums on the whole. It's a very obvious and extreme example but if you have never heard a Metallica song before and start with The View, it's probably not going to give you an idea of their best work.

I also think it's a little strange to hate Kataklysm that much if you like death metal. They aren't brainbustingly awesome but not that bad either.

Hmmm yeah, especially considering Kataklysm has changed through their discography... a single song is impossible to give an idea of any the band that has an extensive back catalogue.

i cant complain just because i like that band and force someone to like that band by criticizing them. you can make suggestion to their better songs and hope that the views change!

Who said that to you... You have the Right to hate Overkill or whatever Thrash band and still be a Thrash fan.

Oh, oh, Venom as well, mainly because they were probably the first metal band to actually live up to every negative stereotype metal had.

Venom is only good for the first two albums, and Ben then I like to pretend someone else wrote them

I don't think I can say I hate a certain band; if I don't like the music I just don't listen to it. If I'm in a place where they're playing a song I don't like, i don't get anoyed or something, I just don't pay much attention to it.
I.e.: Linkin Park: I don't like they're electronic/pop albums, so i don't own them, but I do like the heavier ones, which I own. I don't hate the band, i just don't like some of their music.
Another example: Asking Alexandria, I don't like their music, so, I don't listen it; I don't own any of their albums......and I don't hate them for that.

Update: I still hate Metallica. I also hate Megadeth for their Reborn Shithead attitude. I hate Behemoth, they are the definition of "overrated". I don't hate -core bands, they play their shit and don't bother anyone. Same for nu "metal" bands. I generally hate all posers, with the exception of Second Wave Black Metal (corpsepaint, pig heads etc.). Finally.... a band I don't really hate but I'm sad for what they've become is Kreator. Until 1990 they were a beast. I also like their experimentation in Renewal and Outcast. Their 90s weren't overall as bad as the American thrash bands. However, in the 00s, when their so called "comeback" took place, they added so much melody they are hard to bear(at least for me).

I respect Slayer, but they really get on my nerves. Their superfans are pretentious and don't seem to realize that every song is the exact same rehash of Reign in Blood. They're like the AC/DC of Thrash Metal, except AC/DC sticks to a good formula, and slayer just... doesn't. It was fun the first time around, but I'm beginning to realize that Repentless was a colossal disappointment. And yeah right, don't give me that "we never cared about the controversy" crap, Slayer has thrived and lived on controversy since the beginning.

And Atilla... But Atilla fans are kinda self-aware in that they don't really take Fronz seriously... Most of the time.

Other than that, I'm hard pressed to think of any other bands.

In case it wasn't understood, I was referring to [poser] fans. Don't think you need examples of that. But maybe that's not what you meant.

Hate is a strong word, which is why I've kept out of this topic until now. But for me, it can be justified when it comes to Steel Panther and their juvenile, vulgar 'humour'. Sure, the same could be said of pornogrind and the like, but Steel Panther are a lot more popular and their equally juvenile fans a lot harder to shut up.

The other band that springs to mind is Shining. There may be quite a few bands that I don't like because of the message they promote, seriously or for band image (cue argument) - I wouldn't mention them in a thread like this though. But encouraging your fans to self-harm and providing the means to do so at your concerts takes it to another level.

The only metal band I really hate is Babymetal. The singers' voices and keyboards sound annoying, songs are nothing special, and they trying to show way too hard that they are metal band (for example singers' stage names). Metallica also gets on my nerves sometimes, because it's unfair that they are the most popular metal band in the world while there are some much better bands around.

Sorry, I chose my words badly. I'm not whining about Metallica being more popular than my favourite bands, the thing that annoys me is that they might be the only band that also non-metalheads have heard, and because of that, many people think that all metal sounds exactly like Metallica.
