When i saw them in febuary they played one of the songs for this album.
It alone was better than 90% of their past work, and i love their past work.

And the entire album is really good. That is if you really enjoy the previous one. It is along the same major lines although it varies a bit as well.

The thing I really liked in the new song is that, Imo, vocals are a bit more aggressive than before.

It's better than their last album. It seems a little less thrashy and more black metaly

A great album!!!

I received my copy today. Here are my impressions after only one listen.

It is pure awesomeness.
Great guitar riffs, unplayable drums (how a human being can play drums like that is beyond me) and vocals more aggressive than before.

The album is extremely fast-paced, very aggressive, relentless.
And I agree with those who say it is a bit more Black and less Thrash (though it is more complex and technical than typical Black Metal).

A serious candidate for album of the year.

Fantastic album, all the tracks are full of JD sauce. My favorite track got to be "Skrying in the Spirit Vision".

I don't know what JD sauce tastes like but if this album's full of it then it must taste good.

It's very hard not to compare this is Tara....surely, it's great...but no Tara

Great album! I just got a copy today, as of now it gets an 8, but i feel over time this could change (this album will likely grow on me some). I am looking forward to giving it some more time in the cd player

I find it better than "Tara".

Really liking this album. Mostly become familiar with it through MP3 player wanderings which it's ideal for as it's short, relentless, technical and varied and without a single weak track.

I think Absu get better with each release. This is definitely their best, with Absu and Tara lagging slightly behind in quality

Pretty fun album but it's a shame when vocals reduce the greatness of music.

Damn son, the vocals here are phenomenal.

Just upped this to a 10. I can find no reason not to seeing as it's the best album of its type I've heard.

I was also a little shocked by your vote. Knew that you love it so much but couldn't see you giving this a 10.
Anyway, regarding the vocals, they sound forced and not powerful at all.

Just being realistic with how I feel about certain albums. I've sat on this one and that Embrace of Thorns album for a long while now and they show no sign of weakening in any way so I may as well give them a score that befits how I feel about them.

To be honest, that feeling was not because of quality of this album. I think the more one listens to music, the harder it gets for him to give records prefect rating (unless he is D.monique or something ). I can hardly see myself giving a 10 in coming years easily, let alone you that have listened to music 10 times more than me at least

Well it's not like I give out 10s that easily all my 10s have a specific meaning to them. I'm also not someone who only gives out 10s to "perfect" albums. 10s are milestone albums that I wouldn't change anything about, evoke strong emotional reactions and even have specific memories associated with them.

Same here. My four tens have flaws I'm very aware of. But yours seem to have raised a few questions tonight.
The in-media-res beginning with the scream punctured my ear drums more than once. I'm sure it lost a point just because of that. Such a nerdy thing to do in 2011.
