Hey guys!

How is everyone doing? I hope all is going well. I have a question for everyone here. I need some Metal trivia questions. Every Monday evening we hold worship, and there is a social time beforehand, and we have been working to educate people on the Metal culture. It has proven to be a very helpful way of doing this lesson, as apposed to someone sitting there and giving a lecture.

Now what we did last week was type up 11 or 12 questions, taped them all around the room, and gave people sheets with lines for the answers and had them walk around the room. Not only did this help build community, it also really taught people there is more to metal than big hair, bat heads and screaming.

Where I could use some help is in the area of questions. They can be true/false, multipule choice, or even fill in the blank.
Some examples of questions we have had were:

Which Nation has the most metal bands?

How many bat heads has Ozzy bitten off?

Which are not real genres of metal (we had things like Projector, Blood and Evil mixxed in with Folk, Gothic and Power)

Do all metal bands have guitars?

So I think you get the idea. If people here could come up with questions that would be great. I think this will also be fun for people on the site to quiz each other with. Now, keep the questions rather simple to begin with. Most people won't know which album was the first to use a 7-string guitar in it's full potential. Feel free to make some of them funny. Metal isn't all serious, I mean, look at Poision of Korn!? Also, including the answers would be great.

@Insinerate: you have some good questions but alot are not general metal knowledge, and the fastest band in the land isnt in the list, as i was sure The Berzerker had that spot. I like your Chuck question though.

Hmm i thought that band sounded familiar, they are on my myspace.
I dont think they count though, they seem to be session musicians, album by album, Haggards are permanent.

Yeah, it's a band of lots of Folk Metal musicians that have all come together to form one giant Folk-project. Not as much of a band as Haggard, yeah. Folkearth are on Metal Archives too if you're interested. I think they have an invisible profile here as well.

A pretty good metal question IMO.

I don't think it is a qestion that can be answered corectly. You may have different definitions for a metal band and even further you don't have the means to count them... So IMO this qestion has to go

The answer to JedHead/Hemlock's question is EASY, for the sheer number of metal bands. The USA has the largset number of metal bands. Simple... they are of the metal countries the country with by far the most people living there, hense also more metal bands.
The question would be almost impossible to answer when you ask for the most metal bands per head of the population.

Educating people on metal culture? Sounds like an honourable undertaking. I wish people were as open-minded over here as well. Here some Q's, which aren't all that hard:

you're kind of right... but still, there are a lot of people that would consider a large number of the American bands non-metal... and still, you cannot be sure... may be there are more metal bands in Russia, which is as big, but they just never made it... When you don't have the information the best thing you can do is have a hypotesis... there is an extremly high chance that your hypotesis is right, but still, it is not a fact... it is just a guess or a prediction... that' why I think just schouldn't ask a question with unproven answer in a trivia

Depends on whether you want to ask people who already are metal heads or want to educate people who are just interested in metal. According to Hemlock's post, I went for rather easy questions, which can also be solved by people who don't know where exactly all the bands are from.

I presumed it was for testing metalheads, and thus, a question that is piss-easy to answer...unless if you don't listen to metal. Poser-alert-question if you will :>
