Nile have been going for a long time, and are one of the few death metal bands that have been so consistently brilliant with each release for this long. Each album in the catalogue has been subtly different, and number seven At The Gate Of Sethu is no different.

YES! December will be awesome!

It'll most likely be released in 2012, but I put 2011 for now. Will probably be changed soon.

Id' like to see a reliable source about that new album in the works. Nile has not, neither on their official website nor their myspace site, mentioned anything about new material since Those Whom The Gods Detest.

Ahhh. I can't fucking wait.

Though, isn't this the collection of unreleased things from the old era I've seen here on News?

Another release for December 2012......My hopes may be a bit high, but I hope it's better than the last two Nile albums......I dunno those releases to me seem very watered down They're nothing like "Black Seeds Of Vengeance" or "In Their Darkened Shrines". now those were some great Nile albums!
meh, not particularly looking forward to this one.

Hi ppl,
Pls dnt take it the wrong way but i think best days for nile has passed. I have been listening to nile since thier album Black seeds of vengence in 2000 and i've heard every track from them. My fav album was ityphalic and nile was my fav band untill those whom the gods detest. where they began to sound monotonous and were more on a lighter side of music with reduced technicality and increase in annoying disgruntled memers for vocal within the songs and predictability has made it more and more repulsive. The tracks from last album cannot be compared to thier earlier work like howling of the jinn, essentail salts, lashed to the slavestick or sacrifice unto sebek.
Unless they improve upon there work in this one i dnt think there is too much to expect from this one as well.

Lol I was thinking the same thing.

Those Whom the Gods Detest was one of their best albums (and I've listened to all of them) in my opinion. I can't wait to hear the new album!

Leaked, and I must say, this band from now on is officially out of my favorite list...I always hoped they will return to glory of Black Seeds of Vengeance and Annihilation of the Wicked, but this new Nile is just an non atmospheric over the top complex brain washing...I almost fell asleep half way through and found my self wondering, what happened to this once amazing band?! the way I see it, they don't longer record an album to "picture" some ancient Egyptian stories, to revitalize that haunting atmosphere (the thing they were doing back in the glory days), but now they do it only so they can prove themselves that they can play faster, more precise, hundreds notes per second over the top technical metal ridden of any memorable atmosphere....pity...well, on the good note, this one is better than Ithyphallyc....

Basically agree with the above. Very bland album, not much more to say really. Yet another let down for 2012. This can go on the heap with Gojira, Meshuggah, Candlemass, Fear Factory Etc.

Although one of the early samples released made me think this would be no good that's far from the case. I managed to hear the whole thing through and didn't find a track I didn't like save for the aforementioned 'The Fiends Who Come to Steal the Magick of the Deceased', which didn't really do it for me. Some amazing stuff on here and I've never been much of a Nile fan, per se. I'll be giving this a few more listens, at least.
