Added:

LOCK UP, CHTHONIC, ALCEST, WINTERFYLLETH, DEMONIC RESURRECTION, HEADCHARGER, EASTERN FRONT, ANCIENT ASCENDANT

Eastern Front and Ancient Ascendant are both surprisingly good and solid bands, I recommend checking them out.

Lineup is getting interesting... although it is still worrying how low down they have Mayhem... I hope that won't be another weird show with the daylight, etc. but I imagine it probably will be...

Now that Sonisphere UK has cancelled, what are the chances we'll get Electric Wizard, Gojira, Katatonia or Kvelertak?

Seems Terrorizer magazine may have let slip the unannounced headliner, apparently at the end of their most recent interview with Machine Head it was stated that they are making a "special announcement" on the 6th July. Could just be coincidence but I would really not be surprised if it was correct, it fits most of the stuff BoA have been talking about with having their most prestigious headliner yet!

I've been hearing King Diamond or Slayer alot, I'm leaning more towards slayer with the announcement date. I'm not the biggest fan of Machine Head but they did put a hell of a show on when I saw them, rather have a band I like more though...

Day 2 looks really good, and hopefully can get tickets for that day in time. Anyone know if Winterfylleth's day has changed because to says both Day 2 and Day 3 on the Bloodstock website?

Imo, Machine Head would be redundant only if they were not such a great live band. thus... it's not redundant

From my experience, Machine Head are pretty average live. I'd be glad to be proved wrong here though.

You were at Wacken 2009.. if you weren't there to see them, they played just before Saxon on the last night and ripped the place apart.

I heard the same thing about Hellfest a well. I've seen them live once and they are quite a good live act.

I think I saw Enslaved instead of Machine Head in 2009. I've seen Machine Head at festivals before though... their type of metal just doesn't really do it for me.

Machine Head ripped Hellfest apart in 2007, 2009, and also 2012. Definitely an awesome live band.

I agree with Barry, Machine Head are nto good live at all. Same as Slayer since 2008 or Fear Factory for that matter. Very mediocre live bands currently.

The crowd went bonkers, sure. But the band wasn't good live at all those two times. Just like Heaven & Hell was mediocre live in 2009 but the crowd still went apeshit. Same for Slayer and Fear Factory in 2010, crowd went bananas but the performances were mediocre to bad.
