I just bought my ticket. This will be my third Hellfest, I hope that the new location means it will still be an awesome festival. I was just reading the previous messages, there had better fuckin NOT be 6 stages, (where did that come from? I hope someone made it up, I don't want it to be true!) the last 2 years there were enough clashes with it spread over 4 stages. It would be perfect if they just extended the festival over extra days, it always goes to quickly.

for real.. even Wacken (which is advertised as a 3-day event) has a "warm-up day" consisting of about 10-15 lesser-known bands on the secondary stages, and the traditional concerts of Mambo Kurt and the Wacken firefighters orchestra. Cramming so many bands in just 3 days (a simple calculation yields about 50 bands per day) is madness imo.

Wow Black Sabbath would be a pretty big drawcard. Yeah with that many bands I think it would be concert overload for me haha.

Well I'm not saying I don't like them (well, I like their first album) but I didn't think southern rock was the obvious choice of genre for the headliner of a metal festival.

Who says they're headlining? And even if they are Motley Crue, Kiss also headlined. And I think Iggy Pop and Killing Joke as well.

Lynyrd Skynyrd are listed just beneath Black Sabbath, on the same level as Machine Head and King Diamond. And King Diamond will headline Stage 2 on Friday, so it seems logical that the Free Birds are headliners as well.

Pleasantly suprised, great addition ! Wasn't expecting it at all, but Hellfest always brings a band or two doing exclusive shows...

I think it's gonna sell out this year before it even starts, the lineups are just fantastic and it's getting pretty well known...
Sad that other big fests like Wacken only need their reputation to sell everything even with incomplete or shitty lineups, while others that really make an effort in offering diversity and quality struggle to survive (hmm ok HF seems to be well established.. but wasnt till recently).

Who are we anticipating to be announced on Friday? I have heard rumours of Faith No More.....

I would get some weird clashes like on the first day it's Cannibal Corpse vs. Amon Amarth vs. Gotthard/Lynyrd Skynyrd when I would have gladly watched all these bands. Lots of clashes to be honest, but then again what's a festival without a good clash between bands you were dying to see?

Imo even though the line-up is once again totally awesome this year's Hellfest is going downhill compared to previous years by allowing more than 30,000 in each day and have six (FFS six) stages. Of whcih four are more or less by genre.

The Valley stage on Sunday and the Temple stage on Friday (probably the two other days too^^) are breathtaking ! Gonna have to choose well, too much bands, though I already know I don't care at all for the Warzone stage.

This lineup is just amazing... I just hope that the six (!!) stages work well. It would only take one band on a smaller stage to pull a larger audience than anticipated to potentially be dangerous... Hopefully all stages are of good size. I'd really be interested in seeing the new site too and the layout it will have...

As for me going... I'd love to, but it depends on me being able to get there more than anything else.

I think the festival will only grow further (only 30.000 tickets for that kind of line-up doesn't allow for that much revenue), but I'm not entirely sure if this can be counterbalanced by a better line-up (and to be honest, it's hard for me to imagine an even better line-up). I'm a big fan of epic crowds like how Wacken sometimes has (though without all the pushing and shoving) and some bands are really amazing live the more people join in.

oh yeah, and Sweden Rock now has Orange Goblin too... that's a bit of a consolation

Two things: Why not invite fellow countrymen Dirge...and the band I'd want to see most is Year Of No Light

wel,, Sweden Rock is a rock and metal festival with equal parts rock and metal it seems whereas Hellfest is 99% metal. So imo Bad Company has no place on Hellfest's bill.
