27.09.2011 - 11:25 Written by Guest on 25.09.2011 at 12:47 you forgot Tarja's version.. or is it too embarassing? anyway i find Nirvana extremely overrated, imo Alice in Chains was/is a far better grunge band and much better poster boys of the grunge scene as actual musicians, as opposed to guitar smashing crackheads like Kurt Cobain. the song itself is nice, quite aggressive and the video is funny, but that's kinda it.

27.09.2011 - 11:37 Written by Guest on 27.09.2011 at 11:31 imo it doesn't fit it at all, it's kinda like Tori Amos' version (which i despise) only with Tarja's vocals.

Tori's version is miles better than the original. It's not just a cover, it's a reinterpretation from another perspective. Patti Smith's version is also great, but not quite as drastically original. I may be biased, because I know a secret: that Tori is the greatest musician ever to have lived. She has taken some musical missteps along the years, but her covers have been consistently great, since Montreaux 1991 to Helsinki 2011 (I just saw her, and she played a great version of a really lame U2 song).

I can tremolo pick the fuck out of any guitar, but I am not a master of the other techniques. BTW I have a BM solo project. PM for free downloads if interested. 8-9 guitar tracks from teh Beast, for free!

You must really build up a sweat tremolo picking the fuck out of the guitar considering it must be quite hot in Syria Anyways nirvana was never a band that I thought were as great as they were made out to be. I agree that alice in chains were definitely under rated as compared to nirvana. Sound garden as well

Oh, Kurt, if only you had learned to play the guitar right-handed like a sane person, not a masochist. (okay, don't overreact to the last one)

20.02.2012 - 19:28 Written by IronAngel on 07.10.2011 at 10:50 Well, that goes to opinions... I really liked her cover, brilliant indeed but I still preffer the original any day mostly because of nostalgia and a connection to that song. Just checked some of her other covers... The Karma Police one is friggin awesome. Although yeah..... I still preffer the original anyway.

20.02.2012 - 21:31 Written by Marcel Hubregtse on 20.02.2012 at 21:28 It's because the second half of my post was about Karma Police and you weren't specific on what part of my post you commented on... and I thought you meant Karma Police because you already wrote about "Smells..." so I didn't think you would comment about it AGAIN on the same page of the same thread. But silly me... you always repeat yourself I forgot about that.
