It would probably be hard to even try and emulate the success of Aerosmith's last album, "Get a grip", but the band certainly tried. However, the main problem here is that it too often sound like Aerosmith trying too hard, and consequently a lot of the songs suffer from so-so instrumentation and a vocal performance that makes Tyler sound his age. It's not that bad to be fair, the title track, 'Falling in love' and 'Pink' offering some great musicianship, but for the most part it just sounds like the band on auto pilot. Not a bad thing, but certainly not a good thing either.
