Venom - New Song Online


"Punk's Not Dead", a brand-new song from UK's blackened thrash metallers Venom can now be streamed in the YouTube-video below.



"Punk's Not Dead" comes off the band's upcoming album Fallen Angels, which is set to be released on November 28th via Spinefarm Records/Universal. More album details were previously reported here and here.

There's probably a lot more to this song than the title.

He's talking about living the punk lifestyle in the lyrics. I would have expected a more "Metal's not dead" Kind of theme from Venom haha!

I realize that, but you don't see other Metal bands writing about punk. Usually they just cover a punk song or something. Deep Purple doesn't write songs about classical music, Black Sabbath doesn't write about the blues, and so forth. It just seems rather odd to me.
