Do you listen to albums all the way through? How often if so?

I would say most of the time. I think most metal albums are meant to listen to all at once. It gives you the "full experience". When I don't, it's usually from certain bands. Bands I prefer to NOT listen to in full albums are Coroner and Bolt Thrower.

Poll

Sometimes. On the go I'll pick and choose songs usually, I find it better to listen to an album when I can sit down and fully enjoy it.

Voted "Most Of The Time". I tend to listen to genres like atmospheric black metal in full albums, while I find it impossible to listen to tech death albums from start to finish.

I believe you can't have the right impression of the album if you didn't listen to every single track.

Agreed. A few songs may give you an idea, but at least one entire listen is required to judge.

Except for Lulu.

Sometimes, I always listen to an album all at once at least 5 times, but most of the time I choose some songs, with the exception of some albums, as in bands like DsO, Blut Aus Nord, Agalloch, Edge of Sanity, Esoteric...

I normally listen to albums in their entirety, but recently i've become quite impatient with my music and have been giving the skip button a regular work out.

I always set out with the intention of listening to an album the full way through. It's more important for concept albums but I think that every album should be judged on its entirety and not just on individual songs, but the impression they make when they're put together.

Most of the time, it gives me a better perspective of the album. Sometimes I can feel to just listen to some specific song too.

Most of the time, unless I run out of time.
I have an hour and a half long bus ride, so I usually listen to a new album every morning.

Albums should contain songs only, unless it is a instrumental album

What does this sentence even mean? Are you saying that instrumental songs aren't songs?

Are you saying that instrumental songs aren't songs?

Everyone knows instruments don't make a song. It's the vocals.

Van Canto is the only real band.

I listen to albums in their entirety just about all the time. I'm fortunate that I can listen to music all day at work, so I take full advantage and listen to a lot of albums.

Start to finish is usually what I prefer, depending on the band. In some cases, it doesn't make much difference to me. Like with a lot of the modern metal stuff when all the songs sound the same so there's no real dynamic to the running album order.

I usually always listen to the whole thing at one time, but sometimes listen to one half of it and finish it later. it depends on how long the album is or whether or not i have to go somewhere/do something, etc. and i don't have time to lsiten to the whole thing.
