So here it goes, 1st one:

DEKADENT - Atmospheric/Avantgarde Black Metal from Ljubljana

Quite surprised there is no topic for this uprising star on the (undeground) scene.

Is true, Dekadent are good. Add them as a suggestion in the ''Bands'' section for them to have a profile on MS, therefore more people will be able to find this band and the word of good slovenian music will spread around....

Grimoir, Somrak and Torka are all worth checking out.

Coldhand - I have to admit I never heard of this one-man before ... great suprise for me even though I listen to black metal for 16 year now ... will check his stuff.

You misspelled two bends: Dalkhu and Magus Noctum.

I would like to present one of more obscure projects that happened back in 1999:

LUPUS - occult black metal from Ljubljana

Released: The Geniirising - DEMO (1999)

Next band is considered to be the first black metal act that appeared in Slovenia - 1994. But nowadays they changed their style to more trendy industrial sounds.

NOCTIFERIA

Eternal Blasphemy (album: Baptism At Savica Fall - 1997) // David Kiselic (founder of Magus Noctum) on vocals



Fond of lies video (album: per aspera - 2002) // Artur Felicijan (founder of Dekadent) on vocals

Slovenian costal region emerged in the late 90es with cult quality bands, one of first was:

TORKA

Also a lot of good black metal bands come from Uruguay.

Tips are good but it wouldn't hurt if you posted some kind of table of contents. Are they like raw black metal or melodic black metal or maybe white black metal with a little gnostic black metal to top it off?

I guess I translated that one from swedish and it didn't come across very well. What I meant was a quick note on what to expect so that if a person (like me) is allergic to christian black for instance can avoid easily.

Be sure there wont be any christian black here - luckily we have no such nemesis existing in our country! If its not put differently next to the name of a band then its all pure black metal!

After leaving Noctiferia in 2000, Varg Gorgoneion established his new band:

ROFL so you are fine with German black metal thread and bothered with Slovenian one? Why is that? Slovenia doesnt have a right to have a showcase of its quality bands?? In this case either you are nationalist or double standard hypocrite. Hope I am wrong about you!

Neither my country has "hired diplomats" nor it has music industry within black metal. It is a 10x time harder to get noticed as a band in the western media if you originate either from the east of southeast europe merely because of peoples mentality similar to your kind.

Right now all you succeeded in doing is making me not want to listen to anything Slovak at all.

Totally agree! They have awesome stage appereance also! One of few Slovenian black metal bands that signed with foreign label. Also amazing artwork on their albums.

Keep on being a retard I am not forcing anyone, everyones free choice. Why you even bother clicking this thread? Go study geography little more carefully instead.

Slovenia is a small country with about 2 million ihabitants that borders to almost every other country in europe (at least Italy, Croatia, Hungary and Austria) and whos religion is mosty Roman Catholic. It's mostly know for it's extremely big black metal scene with spans more bands then the rest of the universe put together.
