What are the albums that seemingly everyone hates but you think are great? Or so-called masterpieces that you find mediocre at best? Do you love Risk or Lulu? Do you thimk Blackwater Park or Painkiller are steaming piles of horse crap?
For me, Master Of Puppets was just boring. Take Welcome Home, Battery and The Thing That Should Not Be off it and I'd give it a 5.
I do, however, love Gallhammer's Ill Innocence (as well as The End), Judas Priest's Turbo and Black Sabbath's Seventh Star.
How about you? Where does your opinion differ to the masses. Go on, be honest. Its the internet, no one will ever know.
I remember when I found out that the guys from Sunn O))) were fans of that piece of shit. Hard to imagine how great artists like them can see anything worth from that stuff. Tha's when I learned that great artists don't necessarily have great tastes.

I've actually never heard of Striborg until now, But personally, I like what I hear.
Though, it's especially easy to get into right now on account of me being faded
In Flames Reroute to Remain is the only album of theirs that I like...and yes, I've heard their older stuff. Something about that album just clicks with me
Dream Theater's Falling Into Infinity is often considered one of their weakest albums... but I'd put it in my DT Top 5. I also seem to like When Dream and Day Unite more than the average fan.
Bruce Dickinson's Skunkworks gets a lot of hate. I'd say it's easily the best of his first three solo albums, and on par with Tyranny of Souls.
I "hate" Viva Emptiness by Katatonia (while I love Brave Murder Day and their debut) and Eternity by Anathema (while I love The Silent Enigma). The Gallery by Dark Tranquillity isn't bad in any way, but I'd give it a 7/10 at best (every other album that I've heard is better, except for My Mind's I, that was a pretty bad album), while many even think it to be a masterpiece. And as for worst bands that I own albums of, I'm going for Mudvayne, Otep and Children Of Bodom.
I generally love everything by Tristania with Vibeke singing, even Ashes and Illumination (those two seem to be disliked by many). I just love her voice... too bad she's gone.
I put it like that because I don't think it's terrible or anything, I just really dislike it. Why? Because I don't like the vocals, the lyrics (usually I don't pay attention to lyrics a lot, but they're unavoidable in this case) and the style doesn't appeal to me at all. I think I listened to the whole album once... then gave it a second chance, but couldn't finish it because I still didn't like it.

What's that ? Great tastes ? There is no great tastes, there's only tastes, which you may or may not agree with lol.
No matter if you're an artist, a beggar, a tool or a smelly tomatoe.

So you probably hate the albums after Viva even more becuase to me both the lyrics and especially the music and even more the vocals are totally atrocious on those albums

Haha, you're probably right, which is why I never bothered with those albums and probably never will (unless I get curious suddenly). Katatonia just isn't my kind of band... well, after the Sounds of Decay EP that is, which was great.

that is where the big change in soudn occurred so I can uderstand. Even though I after SOunds Of Decay I thought they had some weaker albums but Viva was totally great to me but then after Viva they got totally ccrap for me.

I could have used a better choice of words but I still stand by the fact that some musicians don't know their stuff too well, this is painfully clear when bands label themselves.

Yeah I think a band should not try to label its music... anyways, people will have plenty of fun doing it for them -_-
I don't like 'Nile - Annihilation of the Wicked' that much. It was the last album I bought from Nile.
I like 'In Their Darkened Shrines' and 'Black Seeds of Vengeance' way more.
