How did they get so big???

Have you ever been thinking about these epicly famous bands that are known world wide, playing in front of so many people it's close to ridicolus and thought "Why are these guys guys so big?"

Two bands that comes to mind is Rolling Stones and U2.
I can't get my head around on why and how these two are so big....i can't
Look at them and they aren't really that good looking so the females whould get to their shows just to screams their lungs out
The music isn't really that good.
Their "famous" songs aren't really THAT good for making them superstars

So why are they so big??? it's a mystery that I can't solve

Do you have any bands that you just cant understand why they are so big or famous?

First of all they are inventors of a much loved genre(togheter with some others) Their first albums got charted on the billboard top 100 without any Airtime.. that says all about how great their music was. They have always been a great live band and played all the time everywhere. Thats the real reasons why they got big in the first place..


I agree and I don't even like Metallica. I'm not into thrash anyways except for a couple of bands but yeah, Their first 3 albums should be enough explanation tbh.
