Some extreme neoclassical metal, or neoclassical black/death or.. something like that:
Really good stuff.
@Turbunator I really like the whole atmspere behind that alkerdeele song. I'll check out that bandcamp link later though (work browsers not updated).
Yeah sure do that. Alkerdeel's previous album is fantastic as well.
Be prepared to get your mind blown :

Al-Namrood - Kitab Al-Awthan (Oriental Black Metal)
Good BM from, surprisingly, Saudi. Their lyrics deal with occult and religious ideas of arabs pre-islam. Actually, Al-Namrood is the name of a perverted, oppressive (maybe) babylonian king.
Anyways, they've got some nice oriental melodies.
Wow finally got around to listen to both the demo and their full lenght. Deffinetly touched all the right spots (wich is rare for Black Metal). Amazing band.

You cannot sedate all the things you hate - MM
The Observer is the source of reality - Bloom
God damn it!! What did Diddy didn't do? - Satan
Just discovered some new drony dark ambient with some metal elements (vocals and drums, primarily) in the vein of Gnaw Their Tongues or recent Abruptum, perhaps. It's called Gauchiste, I know nothing about the group/artist. I'm sold.

Thought the track was pretty good but I'm even more intrigued by what you say about the lyrics, might look into this one some more.
And for those who like their doom/sludge with a bit of a psychedelic flavour:
Not bad. Their sound is kinda thin though and could be beefed up for extra psychedelic occult appeal. The singer is rather smokin' too. Nice tats (yes tats).
Quote: I don't like the new stuff =[ I was really hoping for something in the vein of their demo but this is too different for me to properly appreciate it.
I guess we disagree there, I like this and the demo
Agreeing with !J.O.O.E.! on this one. At least the demo version of Devoid of Redemption is far superior to the album. I preferred the vocals on the demo - they had a different sound and were a lot more 'dramatic' to me than the album version. All of the hooks that initially caught me in that song were gone, sadly. The others are pretty good, though. It's an alright album in the very least. I'll probably enjoy it a lot more the more I listen to it.
