For anyone who doesn't know Lamb Of God is a (disputed) thrash act from Richmond Virgina. While being very technical, they also have a nice deep chugging feeling throughout their songs. Sometime this Summer they should be releasing their album Sacrement, which is being strictly kept under wraps. What are your thoughts on the band? Do you think the new album will be better then their earlier material? Who is your favorite member in the band and why?

Great band definetely one of my favorites. I didn't love these guys until I saw them live with machine head. What a great live performance they put on. I went out the next day and bought all their CDs, even burn the priest. I can't wait for the new album to come out in February.

I used to love Lamb of God, I don't know. They sorta bore me now since my music taste has progressed. Killadelphia is still one of my favorite live albums though.

Eh, Lamb Of God is not my cup of tea, i actually have three of there latest albums, and heard some of there stuff from when they were called Burn The Preist, they seem to have the same riffs played through out the entire album, i mean i dont think they suck, but i find nothing unique about them. Am i wrong to think that?

Lamb of God are sweet. they are not really thrash tho. i think they are more of a death metal band but they have some of my all time favourite songs still, like laid to rest, ruin , redneck, desending, palaces burn and a crap load more and most of their albyums have been really good, except new american gospel i didn't really like that one.

has anyone ever heard of the band called BYzantine? i dont think there on this site but if your into lamb of god you should check them out. In my opinion there more creative and less repetitive. sucks that they disbanded this year though

Can't wait for this album. I really hope it has more of a Ashes/Palaces feel to it. Nothign against Sacrament, but any followup to AotW and AstPB would need to be perfect to continue the trend, and i thik it fell short. Either way stilla wicked album, and i hope they put out some great work on this next album.

Yup good point. Sacrament was a bit more experimental from what I've gathered (my opnion + other people's opinion).

Ashes of the Wake is a virtually flawless album IMO, so anything near it will be much appreciated.

And yes Palaces had a ton of potential, just needed a bit more polish around the edges, but many catchy and hooky songs, though.

Descending is an awesome song. I have no idea where Redneck came from though. Unfortunately I've been very, very drunk in the past and had it blaring on a car stereo at dreadful hours in the morning... so I can't really talk.

Palaces is still my favourite album.

I too hope their next album goes back a bit towards Palaces/Ashes.

Sacrament had some great parts but other parts but overall I didn't enjoy it was much as Ashes.

Sick band, the music's maintaining it's level of complexity as they progress but they sound worse with each release. as the palaces burn sounded perfect in terms of production. i don't like the production on the last 2 albums, but the music is sick. i know palaces sounded the way it did because of budget and schedules and stuff so maybe they should give themselves deadlines and another budget when they record everything because it sounded so good.

I just hope that the new album doesn't have those annoying half-assed shouts that they starting using on Sacrament. Randy said they were trying to be more diverse, but that fucking producer that they have has been watering them down.

Lamb of God really has the anger, the hate. and they made some of my favourite songs like beating on death's door, redneck, the faded line but in my opinion something wrong with the vocal style, and as I know they can't stay live on stage long
