Marduk - Announce North American Tour Dates With 1349
Swedish black metallers Marduk will be heading back to North America this June for a headlining tour with 1349, Withered, and Weapon as special guests. The band also announced two other shows for Chile and Puerto Rico.

Yep, yep... and. Withered? When was their last release - 2008? Seems rather strange to have them tag along. Either new material is on the way or they have close ties to the headliners.

Written by Boxcar Willy on 10.03.2012 at 03:38 Well they're more like a revivalist death metal band with sludge leanings, so sound-wise they aren't too far removed from being compared to Marduk or 1349 (sometimes extreme metal is extreme metal regardless of getting into genre wars - sometimes). But what strikes me as odd is the fact they're two years removed from a full-length release and I haven't heard anything about them for 2012.
