At this point i think Deathhammer is head and shoulders over anything else i've heard this year... at least in thrash.

So far I've listened to 1. Warrick-Beyond Diplomacy 2. Rumpelstiltskin Grinder-Ghostmaker 3. Fastkill-Bestial Thrashing Bulldozer 4. Deathhammer- Onwards.... 5. Municipal Waste-All Latest And still more to come out. Atm I'll choose Fastkill one of the best upto now. Great killing stuff. Absolute barbarous.

New Kreator & Testament albums are pretty obvious I think.

That Deathhammer is okay, but it becomes tedious to listen to the full album. Pretty much everything thrash-related has been disappointing to me this year. Maybe the wave of revivalist thrash is ending?

Just decided to check out that Angelus Apatrida album, and I'm in love. Thought I'd already heard all the good thrash resurgence bands, but apparently not.

Incapacitate's Biggest disappointment so far is Municipal Waste's. Fun moments, just all ends up sounding hollow in the end.

I need to get into Thrash metal soon. One genre that I really want to enjoy but so hard for me to digest

Haven't listened to large amounts of thrash, but Overkill's new album is amazing.

10.08.2012 - 20:32 Written by Sentinel65 on 07.08.2012 at 06:27 It's pretty good. I honestly think their last 2 albums are some of the best they've put out. Ironbound is better than the new one though.

I'd agree, Overkill's latest outdoes some of their more "classic" material if you ask me. Even better than Ironbound I think.

Overkill obviously sucks (they always do and have done for twnty freaking years) but Testaments latest and Kreator kicks some serious ass! As a sidenote I would like to say that MW is a joke just like Tankard and should be totally ignored all the time.

11.08.2012 - 03:54 Written by Savopipo on 11.08.2012 at 02:15 Really? I just can't get into the new Kreator. It sounds as though they are just reusing riffs from Violent Revolution....

11.08.2012 - 11:39 Written by SilentScream on 11.08.2012 at 03:54 Well to evolve my quick post a little. Testaments latest is imo a great offering. Kreators latest I haven't more than one song from so I shouldn't say anything about it but the song I heard sounded good I think. If they are just reusing riffs from Violent Revolution (an album that I haven't heard) I wouldn't know.

12.08.2012 - 20:07 Written by Savopipo on 11.08.2012 at 11:39 In that case I would suggest listening to more than 1 song off the album before saying it ''kicks some serious ass''.

Haven't heard very much pure thrash metal this year Overkill's "The Electric Age" was good, but nothing special. Otherwise it has been the black/thrash-genre who has offered me the most. As already mentioned; Aura Noir, Desaster, Deathhammer, Impiety, Ketzer to name some of them
