You know the drill. Here's some rather fine sounding Cthulhu driven death metal that's not due for release until 2013, with extraordinarily beautiful cover artwork (check out the detail in the full image):
Late post but some of you are gonna like this. I know I like it. Progressive death metal (some other tags would fit here too) Easily in my already existing top 20 of 2013!
Full album by Bookakee. Enjoy!
PS. If it was mentionned before I apologize but not for real

I'm sitting here and laughing! Not because it's bad, but because.. It is what it is! Some weird stuffs right there, and surprised me at some spots, not what I expected to hear actually. EDIT: Also, the lead guitar in the second song reminds me so much of Unsung by Insomnium!
Found this really cool project when I was searching for industrial BM randomly. For the lack of better comparision, I'd say this is similar to Pryapisme and Cloak of Altering at some points. Maybe electronic avantgarde metal is good description. Also, some black metal and many other things going on. Moreover, it occasionally sounds like video game metal.
From bandcamp: "Red Ankh is highly experimental, including (but not in every song) elements of black metal, chiptune, dance, death metal, folk, gabber, gothic, industrial, power metal, progressive, symphonic metal, groove metal, and trance."

I know that could put some people off, but it seems to sum the music up pretty good.
I personally have a spot for "fun" metal music and this is not an exception.

Amazing find in Spaceslug. Definitely calls out to the Samsara Blues Experiment. Already 2016 is looking to an extraordinary year in metal. With that, Oranssi Pazuzu, zeuhl metal, Seven Sisters of Sleep, one month down and some extreme bangers
