from what i understand, that is an EXTREMELY rare(if not one of a kind) album by velvet underground. normally i wouldn't mind about this but the bid is already at 164.000 $...a bit too much for a acetate disc you can't even play!
i'd say it will go to maximum 200.000$.it may be one of a kind and uber-kvlt, but it's not worth that much money anyway.

theres 3 more days to go. i can see it doubling, if not tripling in price.

it is one of a kind (or possibly two of a kind - more info on this in the comments box on that page).

it does still play. they listened to it and even described the differences between this version and the final album tracks. they should bootleg it if its something this unbelivably sought after.

woah... tripling it? now that means almost half a million fucking dollars..are you kidding me? it's not actually telling the secret location of the holy grail... i wonder if a similar vynil disc of a supposed benjamin breeg concept album from early(pre-80s) maiden would sell for.
or a whole 40 minutes of dimebag darrel jamming before he entered pantera....it makes my skin crawl

i wouldn't be surprised if it reached the $500,000 mark. well-known band. one of a kind item. unique material. and there's got to be a few obsessive, rich collectors out there.

i might actually record myself practising some riffs from the first sabbath album, get 5 vinyl copies pressed (i.e. only get test presses, then cancel the order), spill coffee on the label and sell them on ebay for ridiculous prices.

following the bidding closely I doubt it will be the most expensive album ever cause I don't see it breaking the 464,000 USD mark set by an Beatles album signed by John Lennon for Mark Champan (who shot Lennon only a couple of hours later)

here's a link on the VU bid and the Beatles album

with only 1 hour and eigth minutes to go it's at

155,400 dollars so I think it won't go over 160,000 seeing how it is going now. It might be rare butnot that sought after after all.

hahahaha, no problem, I won't love you less for it...
did you read the link I posted. Imagine that, signing an album for a fan and then only a couple of hours later being shot by the same guy, who later on sells the album for almost 500,000 USD.
