Dream Theater - Release Trailer For Upcoming Live DVD

Progressive metallers Dream Theater just released a trailer for their forthcoming live release which will be called Live At Luna Park, a live concert captured on 2DVD, Blu-ray, digital video, 2DVD/3CD, Blu-ray/3CD, and a deluxe edition (2DVD/Blu-ray/3CD) which will drop in May 2013. To whet the appetite of their fans, the trailer is now available and you can watch it below.

Live At Luna Park was filmed over two nights in South America - home to one of Dream Theater's most ardent fanbases. The DVD was filmed after a 15-month world tour, hitting 35 countries.

"This is without a doubt the closest a viewer at home will come to experiencing a live Dream Theater concert," states guitarist and founding member John Petrucci. "Between the hi-def and 3D video, the huge audio mix and the documentary style behind the scenes footage, you are truly transported to the arena and completely immersed in the entire live experience."

"We have the greatest fans on the planet and the people of Argentina are no exception!" adds Petrucci. "The energy and vibe at Luna Park was truly electric and contagious. The perfect synergy between band and audience. We are immensely proud of this DVD and incredibly excited to share it with everyone!"

The prog masters Dream Theater are currently recording new tunes and preparing the follow-up to 2011's A Dramatic Turn Of Events.

I hope they include "Wait For Sleep", it's about time. Also, I want this! Yes, Count of Tuscany would be nice. I did see them on this tour and visually it was great even with all the not-so-great new songs.

Sigh another dvd by these guys. What is that in the 24 years they've been releasing albums, 10 dvd's or such?

It's a spathetic as Iron Maiden and all their live dvd's and albums.

I've seen the setlists before... and I'm still disappointed.

"Pull Me Under", "Metropolis", "The Spirit Carries On" and "War Inside My Head" / "The Test That Stumped Them All" again. Nothing from Black Clouds & Silver Linings - "The Count of Tuscany" would have been nice.

But I'll probably pick it up. Positive surprise: "These Walls" !

These walls is a great song which I wish would be included. 6:00 also, wait for sleep a most.. a fortune in lies also, caught in a web (which was excluded from live at budokan because of space problems).
