    A staff guy...
Guess that was the real "Halo of Blood" after all. Interesting choice to include such a heavy emphasis on tremolo and blast beats; something they haven't done since Hatebreeder. Such a vast difference in style and sound between this and "Transference", I hope the majority of the album will be more like "Halo of Blood" than "Transference".

Just another one of those bands that doesn't do anything for me on their studio records... live I've seen them a few times and they were very good.

No, I did not like this. What the hell happened to the keyboards? Dissapeared more and more for each album since "Are You Dead Yet?".

The main riff reminds early Dissection.

Same exact thoughts, thought it's still missing the tempo. Not just Dissection's, but old CoB's. Not mention the high pitched melodic leads. Anyway it's a good sign of CoB resurrection.

Even if none of the songs I've heard are close to FtR material it's still a step in the right direction

My thoughts too. In this case it's a good thing.

Dissection is the best black metal band ever, in my book.

Guitars being brought forward in the mix is a known Tägtgren-ism
