Newsted - New Song Online, Debut Album Details


Newsted led by former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted have been working on their upcoming debut album and have finally started revealing more about it. The release which follows the EP Metal will simply be called Heavy Metal Music and will be available worldwide on August 6th, 2013. The cover and tracklist of the album were also unveiled but the most important part is that the brand new song "Heroic Dose" has made its online debut. You can stream the new song below to get a feel of the album.

Okay.. This is better than anything on "Metal". I like the riffs and song structure; vocals aren't too shabby either. A very solid heavy metal song.

If Metallica would've left Newsted have some contribution in their works, I am sure that they wouldn't have sucked so much. Too bad he wasted his time in Metallica for so long, this man could've produced some great works alone or with Flotsam & Jetsam...

Not bad, not bad at all. I swear it reminds me of Voivod for some reason, even though it doesn't really sound like them? Strange. Maybe it's the fact that Jason's voice reminds me of Snake. I dunno.
