Hello All

I would like to introduce one of my top favourite bands which MetalStorm has yet to add . Hailing from Hamburg, Germany and formed in 1998 is the mighty:

Stormwarrior



For those of you who thought that German Speed Metal was dead, well in terms of the wide variety of the scene, yes it is.....But it is not totally dead! For Stormwarrior's sound is reminiscent of bands like Helloween, Running Wild and a bit of early Blind Guardian. In all honesty they sound like a combination of Manowar and Helloween.....that'd be my opinion . The Metal that they play is undoubtedly TRUE and the sound quality for this genre has never been produced better!

They have so far released 2 albums (which Kai Hansen has had a hand in producing):
'StormWarrior' (2002)
'Northern Rage' (2004)

Fuck I love these guys!

The best songs for me are "Bounde By The Oath", "Signe Of The Warlorde", "Heavy Metal Fire" and their cover of "Heavy Metal (Is The Law)"

seriously, check them out! they are top quality speed metal!

my friend bought the album so i ripped it onto my computer as well but i am yet to listen to it properly
i have heard bits and bobs of stuff from my friend listening to it and it seemed quite good - fast drumming, etc.
i just seemed like a regular fast-paced power metal album to me

I know this band its like 80ties speed metal whit Venom style attitude I love this band amazing and great ''StormWarrior'' I had hera this album and its great and amazing
This band kick ass andone more time it prove after 2000 in germany can be band swhit 80ties attitude, In other countries I hawnt seen such bands

oh and HAMMER, i think that the '80's Speed Metal bands of Germany were similar, but just now today

ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY STORMWARRIOR!!! I have Northern Rage (amazing album) and have heard some songs from StormWarrior. I am a huge speed metal fan and these guys are definitely doing it for me! I especially love listening to them in my car and blowing other people away.

I remember I put Attack Of The Hellmetal Storm in my custom GTA St.Andreas radio, everytime I heard that song I start killing and running over people. All songs they made are really awesome, and still And the Northewinde Bloweth is my favorite intro for album, of any band, it is great. I am little suprised that htis topic have only few replies, and that this band is really not popular, here, I know only few people like them, maybe one more bands for the overrated/underrated thread, in underrated cathegory definetely

@Aronax Of Steel: yes, definately one more band for that topic......they are very underground and "True" lol . I kept fighting for this band to be added to the site and finally they are , they are performing at Wacken 2007.

Yeah, can't wait for wacken, if I manage to go I will definetely catch tghem

SPEED METAL IS ALIVE!

I've been meaning to check them out for ages, and finally yesterday I downloaded their album 'Northern Rage', holy crap it is actually really good, and aside from the lyrical themes, it wouldn't have been out of place in 1988. Good find!

Brilliant band, I have the 2 studio albums, yet to buy the live one. Chains Of Slavery is awesome, especially with the two vocals head to head

@Lowelas: Well, while I love them, I can actually see them criticised for lack of originality and/or ridiculously large amounts of cheese. But the people who say those things can eat shit, because for all that they're still awesome!

That is Stormwarrior of cause.

You guys should all check out this band called Steel Attack sounds similar, but yet so distinct in alot of different ways cheers.

@MetalGypsy: I've heard Steel Attack, I don't think they sound anything like Stormwarrior at all.
