I always wondered what the meaning of art was. As in, what is the main goal for the artist(s)? What would be the greatest achievement? If you ask yours truly, the main goal would be to make something greater than the creator(s) and spectators, a grand monument with such a force that it can stand proud and imposing against anything around it. Probably my favorite death metal release from the year. Abyssal is close, but this album is just so absolutely undeniably massive that I'm not sure anything can match it. I might have put Duobetic Homunkulus above this, but it's just an EP and didn't really have the same impact that Vermis did. Utterly brilliant and truly "god-tier".

Summoning is good too, but that one definitely wouldn't get higher than a 7.5 for me. So, when I said "vastly superior" really I just meant... superior. Poor choice of words
