as for me i like Edguy becuase its a band any metalfan can enjoy they have a clean sound excellent vocals,catchy chorus, and they are very unique

Upon further review, Coroner originated in Zurich, Switzerland (the same place as Celtic Frost). We can take them off the list. I think regardless of which members are from where, I have to ultimately go by where the band hails from.

Written by Guest on 29.10.2011 at 21:12 All three recording band members (Marquis Mark, Tommy T. Baron and Ron Royce are Swiss, and even if one or two were from Germany or Sweden later on the band remains Swiss. Just as Mercyful Fate and King Diamond will always be Danish and Motörhead English

Kreator, but Sodom is close behind, they are both fantastic thrash bands. Kreator's new album Phantom Antichrist is absolutely amazing aswell.

Out of the choices, mine would be either Sodom or Kreator. I really enjoy Sodom's early almost black/thrash stuff. But Kreator has a lot of good tunes as well.

I would say Gamma Ray . They have released 3 or 4 of the best power metal albums ever made. Their "decent" albums are still better than most. I think Kai Hansen can probably write a power metal album while having a morning shower, but when he's on top of his game the results are fantastic. Land of the Free, Powerplant, Somewhere Out in Space - 3 albums that are close to being perfect power metal albums.
