Kataklysm - New Album Artwork Unveiled

The CD and limited-cassette main artwork from Peter Sallai for Waiting For The End To Come, the forthcoming concept album from Canada-based extreme metallers Kataklysm, can now be seen below. The artwork can be also checked out as a part of the short album teaser through the YouTube player.

Comments Kataklysm frontman Maurizio Iacono: "The album art depicts a child which represents innocence in humanity, covered in dirt and blood from life's experiences. In front of him, his death represented by a reaper who comes to claim his soul for the afterlife, or the abyss. It's open to the fans to decide with their own beliefs. In the end this is the transition between life and death."

It's definitely better than the last couple. I still dislike the new pointy logo font though, it was much better as just block letters.

Haha, that's like saying "compose your own Metal album and upload it here, instead of writing a review of an album".

Sounds like an exceprt from Shadows & Dust! It would be great if after CoB, Kataklysm would also return to form.

For some reason I really like the artwork. I think the little explanation of it makes it better xD

This album might be worth something just because of the drums. Max Duhamel is one of the lamest drummers in death metal IMO (which I blame lazyness and alcoholism for because he was pretty decent on the first few albums). Since he's sick, they get to work with ex-Neuraxis drummer for this record. It still sucks that they need a temporary member to improve. Anyways, after all these albums where Kataklysm promise us to 'reinvent themselves', it might be true this time. I'm actually excited to listen to it.
