Amazing quality from this one-man project that quietly lays the foundation for other DIY artists.

Awakened is quite great. I'm loving this project more and more each day and I already loved it a lot from the start... Gonna keep supporting this guy as much as I can.
Also, War is apparently 20 minutes long... Gonna be awesome.
EDIT: Well... turns out I was right about that last bit ^

Downloading this now. The first album was a massive grower for me, every further listen only made me enjoy it even more and more so this has so far been one of the most anticipated releases of 2014. Hope I can get enough time to finish this in a single sitting today.

Seriously Brett, stop being so awesome at making music. Nah I'm just kidding. Listened to the first song and man, that was awesome.

It gets even better. Seriously.
Btw, I heard multiple fragments from Bioshock Infinite. Pretty cool.

8.5/10 so far. Good album, unpredictable, progressive, epic. However I am not a fan of production and clean vocals. Clean vocals sounds definitely too power metalish for me. (at least some of them)

Sorry you didn't dig on the production, I was quite pleased with it. I got most everything I wanted out of it, the guitar tone I wanted, the drum sound I wanted. The vocals are quite stylized, which I know puts people off so I understand that. But I love the sound of them so much haha.

Just glad you guys enjoy it!

I was pretty sure that Altar Of Betelgeuze was going to hold my #1 album for the foreseeable future, or at least until some of the heavy weight albums came out this year to attempt and dethrone it (Mournful Congregation, Agalloch, etc.). However, it seems like this lovely piece of music has won me over. It's long, but it is engaging and melodic too boot. Strong performance for sure on all counts (vocals, guitars, drums, bass). Congrats on the great album.

About as serious as every other super obvious vote abuser trying to manipulate the Charts in their favor. #RatingsNuked

I saw his ratings and there was nothing "super obvious" about it. He gave a variety of scores across the board. The fact they were all from this year doesn't prove anything.

That's obvious, but is there really a point in lowering the rating of not well-known albums as this? Just for the sake of it.

Exactly, I very much doubt he was trying to manipulate this album, which wasn't that high to begin with. He obviously just didn't like it.

And all his ratings were strictly Top 20; this may not be a Top 20 atm, but it has been all year until recently. The abusers are just getting smarter and using a wider spread than straight 1s and 10s. But I'll leave him alone from now on so we can watch his votes continue to only contain Top 20 albums. -_-

So he only listened to popular albums, I don't see what that proves either. It's all well and good trying to outsmart vote abusers but potentially stepping on the toes of legitimate voters to get to them seems overkill, imo, especially as it just boils down to guess work most of the time.

Fair enough. In that case I'll leave all potential rating abusers alone. Just in case they're legit and only ever listen to the MS Charts albums.

Well, I wouldn't all alone, the ones with massive gaps of ratings in the 3 - 8 range are fair game I would say

But what if they're legit and just like using the binary rating system?

Wouldn't that have to include 1s and 0s? I don't recall 2 being part of binary =P

Oh wait, I see what you mean about binary now, haha.

Some great ideas all over the place, but the flow needs work and sometimes the drums detract from the potential of the guitar riffs.
