even official snow mobile roads are 99% safe, but we ride over all and be in ice its always at your own risk, and mid april is my border when I go on the ice
We have one ice road for cars, in Luleå you can drive car to small islands . To get to the town I need cross 6 lakes, by snow mobile and almost all roads cross some water way. I gass as crazy when I cross rivers or big big lakes
Broken Hope have announced that a fan's throat was slit with a box cutter at last night's concert at Tricky Falls in El Paso, Texas. Police and paramedics were seen at the venue and no further information has been revealed at this point. The death metallers are touring with Deicide, Disgorge and Necronomicon (CAN) in North America on the No Salvation Tour 2013.
The band released this message: "Broken Hope just learned a fan got their throat cut with a box cutter during Broken Hope's set tonight in El Paso. Cops and paramedics are all over the place. Please send warm wishes to this fan."
No other details on the condition of the fan or if there were any other injuries have been reported at this time. Hopefully, he/she can recover.

I have seen a LOT of dumb comments on this site over the years, but I couldn't agree more, that one is the dumbest I've seen yet.
Many people who don't like metal still have the mistaken impression, that people who do like metal are unfeeling, obnoxious, depraved louts who delight in real life violence, and lack basic empathy for others. And with idiotic comments like that being made by some metalheads, it's hard to blame people for coming to that conclusion, no matter how false that may be in general terms.
you call the 19th biggest city of the US (population 673,000) a small podunkj town? You weird, man
Well, I do live in the 4th largest city in the US with a population of 2 million+ immediate, 6 million+ metropolitan.
might be the case but calling El Paso a small town is of course ridiculous. For instance the Netherlands doesn't have a single city with more than 1 million people in it. And I am sure that our five biggest cities have a lot more going on there then many a 1 million plus city in the US
Amsterdam 805,000 which is comparable to El Paso Metropolitan
Rotterdam 600,000
The Hague 507,000
are the three biggest
number four is
Utrecht 323,000
five is
Eindhoven 220,000

you have to accompany something like that with a text typed by yourself, that's the current rules on memes and this type of internet nonesense when people don't have a proper retort

I think you should update you profile because there it says your location is Pearland, Texas and to me 91,000 isn't even near the amount of people where I live

What the fuck is going on when people are being physically hurt or killed at a metal show. Where is security to weed out the idiots!!! We don't need a another Dime story at a small venue! As for the other comment that's not Metal!!!

Like hell that's not a proper retort! But you are right, my bad. Doesn't change the fact that in MY opinion El Paso is a (comparitively speaking) "podunk town".
Edit: Off-topicness is also not permitted, something of which we are both entirely too guilty of more often than not.

but some off-topicness isn't as annoying as standard INternet memes and video snips
btw back on El Paso if you regard that as a comparatively speaking podunk town then how do you regard that city in your profile location? A total shithole?

I'm originally from Houston. Pearland is where I currently live, and is one of those many Houston Metropolitan areas counted among the 6 million.

In general I agree, but that particular meme was very apt because if we were talking in person that is exactly what I would have retorted with, and even in that same inflection and tone so that you would know I'm quoting that movie.

so total inaptitude on your part in a conversation. It is one of the most annoying things to say when one disagrees with someone. I am not for violence at all. But I can't help but agree when someone punches someone out for using that lame sentence in a conversation And it's from one of the most overrated, if not the single most overrated, film ever released The Big Lebowski is fun, but that's it.

Technically Zep. your opinion on this matter is incorrect as you referred to El Paso as a "town" when by any standard in the US it would be cosidered a city. a "podunk city" would be somewhat of an oxymoron

Not to mention the definition of podunk seems to revolve around it being dull, and El Paso being a dangerous border city it would likely be anything but dull.
No I'm the holder of the dumbest comments ever posted on this site. But he has a point, that is very metal. But it sucks for the fan whomever that person may be.

On the contrary, slashing someone's neck in my opinion is precisely UNmetal. If you think it's a metal thing to do then you've totally misunderstood metal in all its facets.

so slitting someone's throat is metal? Talk about another dumb comment, or in this case point of view as to what is metal.

Then you've obviously never read any death metal lyrics, because I've heard many bands sing about about cutting a few throats.

so because of lyrics it is all of a sudden a metal thing to do in real life? Then slaying dragons and raping princesses is also metal or committing suicide or waging war or beating up people because of their skin colour, or masturbating underneath the desk during class...

Precisely the difference: SING about doing it. Metal was always about extreme artistic expression as a release; not acting out these expressions on other people. How many metal-related murders has there been during metal's existence? Very few. Even in black metal there's been what, 2? Compare this to say, Hip-Hop. You could argue that that's a culture with strong links to murder. I don't see many gore-themed rap bands, do you? Use your head and read between the lines.
