Judas Priest - Confirm 2014 Release For New Album

We already knew that heavy metal legends Judas Priest were working on their new album, but recently, on their holiday greeting, they confirmed the release of their new album in 2014. This means that after so many years, the band is finally unleashing the successor to Nostradamus, now without founding member and guitarist K.K. Downing.

The band posted this message: "We wish all of our fans a great Christmas and a very metal New Year! We will be releasing a new album sometime in 2014 so stay tuned!"

Do you think the band will follow the direction of Nostradamus or try something else?

Rob has already said that the new album won't be like "Nostradamus", and will be a more traditional type of Priest album.

I'm looking forward to this one! Too bad they probably aren't gonna play anymore live shows though, would have loved to see them. Though its understandable at this point in their career. I really hope Iron Maiden gets cracking on a new album soon as well.

You never saw them live? I was lucky enough to see them in Lisbon. It was great fun. If they ever come back, we'll be there

If I recall correctly, they're still going to do tours. Just not huge world tours. See them if you get the chance. Rob Halford's voice has rusted a little, but he along with the rest of the band are incredible to see live.

Really looking forward to this album. I liked Nostradamus and this should be even better than that!

Well, they were working on a new album before K.K. left, so it's a possibility...

Will look out for this one with cautious optimism, apparently it won't be another Nostradamus but never trust a band when they say something about their new albums... no matter what usually it's something along the lines of "we are going to back to our old style the fans love, and I can honestly say this album is the best we have ever made"...
