Don't really know who to address this to. Karlito? Joe? Troy? Anyway. Found this cute little album by Alpaca, project of that Baroness drummer. It's a nice mix between electronic, rock, post-rock, indie, etc, that ends up sounding similar to a younger - but modern - version of Simple Minds, or an electronic version of The Bewitched Hands. Or something. It has a nice little eighties feel to it at times with heavy Gary Numan influences on some songs. Forty minutes of chill, cute, simple and yet well done stuff.
My favourite track so far, as it reminds me of a sadder Discovery-era Daft Punk. There's the rest of the album, a click away on that page as well. Highly recommended.
For my fellas who enjoy Carpenter Brut (btw, new EP coming this December and I'm bloody addicted to this teaser snippet - damn you Brut!) and/or Perturbator, I found this little thingie: Metropolis by Nightcrawler. Seems my electronica goes retro obsession is in full run.
Unless you are fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, it probably won't have much appeal as it's heavily story based being a rock opera, but Destiny: A Tale of Unicorn Wings is a fantastic progressive rock album, the only problem is the vocals are a bit subpar to the music.
