I owe you so much for posting this list. Truly amazing music, I only already knew Nest.
Thanks again.

You're welcome. It's sad that this kind of music is that underrated. Whenever I show it to other people I get positive reactions like "Wow that's beautiful, didn't know such music existed", and yet the genre remains mostly unseen. But that might aswell be part of the fun, digging in the web to find more amazing artists.

I suppose that this is mainly due to the fact that this isn't, let's say, iPod music. I mean, there isn't a "hit" you put on as a single track, it isn't music for workout or stuff like that. It's music that needs to be listened as a whole, and therefore it's less accessible.
On the other hand I'm listening right now to Agalloch as background music while studying public law and it feels awesome.

This list contains music that I use when I want to listen to relaxing music, so nice job.
I would have Nest's second album on here, as well as Tenhi's debut. But it seems you're only listing 1 album/band, so it's all good.

I discovered that dark folk makes wonders for me when it comes to long study sessions for college , it really helps me to relax and focus , so thank you so much for this list!! Is there any recommendations for a beginner on the genre like me to start diggin up a bit on it? i really wish to discover more of this.

hey, cool to see people still finding this list. the compilation "Whom The Moon A Nightsong Sings" is a good start, it already features many of the best artists.
