Septicflesh - Finish New Album Recordings

If you have been eagerly waiting for a new Septicflesh release, the band is getting there. The Greek symphonic metallers have finished recording their new, as-yet-untitled full-length album. The new album will consist of 10 songs that were recorded once again at Devasoundz Studios in Athens, Greece and in the Czech Republic with the collaboration of the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir. From there, the album was mixed and mastered in Los Angeles by producer Logan Mader (Gojira, Fear Factory, Cavalera Conspiracy). The plan is to release it this summer.

The band says: "We are really exhausted from the work on this record, but also very proud of the results. We worked hard with Logan to bring you the ultimate death metal soundtrack for your darkest dreams. The compositions are progressive with a lot of emotional peaks, while at the same time the songs sound very aggressive and powerful. We also had the chance to work for the first time with a full children's choir besides the regular adult choir, and that helped us dive deeper into darker cinematic atmospheres. We have achieved a new level of extreme emotions."

The group is currently taking part in the 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise. More info on their new album will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The addition of a children's choir might indicate at least some level of experimentation. No?
I'd also like another Communion though... Or at least an album that's like Communion but with a twist of some sort. Say, a children's choir for example.
Okay, I admit, I'm pretty curious about that children's choir...

EDIT: Wait, no, I get it, sorry, I misunderstood for a second, forgive me, please.

Yea, I have a hard time expressing myself. I believe if deserves a 9, but to me - personally - it was trite...if that makes sense...which it probably doesn't...I'm drunk.
Sumerian Daemons was really interesting, but not refined enough

I never understood the huge hype for Communion. The Great Mass was amazing, though, so I'm totally stoked for this.

That might be a problem since Sotiris is the main composer for the band....His vocals are annoying at some moments though...

Say you don't like clean vocals, don't say they suck. I love that mix between clean vocals and grunts, orchestra and death metal. I hope we can get some tracks to feed on in the next weeks ! I love all SF albums maybe only Revolution DNA is not as good (well it's different

His cleans. If you took some time to properly read what I've wrote... or to look at some of my ratings, you'ld notice that I'm not one of those who only listen to the most extreme form of metal, or the bands only of have guturals/grunts.

My mistake but no need to grow a big head man. Besides I wouldn't put Septicflesh or Fleshgod Apocalypse in the same categories. Anyway I'm eagerly waiting for this new album.
