Gojira - Writing New Material

After two years of touring and propagate their last full-length L'Enfant Sauvage, Gojira is currently writing new material for a yet-untitled new album. At this point, there are no more details available, but you can check two photos from their official Facebook page.

Could we see a new album still this year? Either way, it is coming.

Awesome news, really excited to see what these guys do next, just hoping it's a bit better than the last full length.

No I didn't, I don't care if it's their most widely-acclaimed album, I enjoyed the overall groove and lyrical theme of TWOAF more. So suck it, playground bully

From Mars to Sirius absolutely is pants. One of those albums save for a minute or two of the best songs I really can't get in to or understand the hype behind. but their 2012 album was even worse and really just comically bad at points so I'll be keeping my distance from this band...

I like every album Gojira has made to an extent, but obviously I like some more than others. For one, I actually enjoyed their last album, so I'm excited for what they have to offer on this new record. I'm still kind of upset that Sea Shepherd never came out, though. The one song they did with Devin Townsend was pretty BA.

Seriously? TWOAF sounds nothing like Cynic. Cynic are some cheesy mellow prog metal these days, and even Focus isn't as hard-hitting as is TWOAF. I'm not gonna be pushed into thinking From Mars To Sirius is their best work just because it's their most popular album, so you guys can all blow me

Gojira has never released a truly astounding record. Every single album they have made is merely very good or good, so excuse my lack of enthusiasm. There are some amazing moments on the older albums, but the grand majority of the songs on their albums aren't something I really dig.

I think From Mars to Sirius is their best, but calling TWOAF a Cynic clone is absolute absurdity. I knew Marcel was going senile , but damn...

Hahaha.

For the producers and mixing engineers TWOAF is probably the best, but I prefer the writing on from mars to any of their recent stuff.
Still a great band to watch live, no matter what, and I'm really annoyed I missed them

And I'm assuming Marcel had had too many IPA's when he posted that
