If the entire album is like this its going to be Epic. I can just listen to this over and over again. Great Synth/Keyboard work

There shouldn't have been any doubts about this from the start. I figured it'd just be a natural continuation of those two instrumental tracks from Celestial Lineage, and it feels just like that to me. Gonna be a great one for sure.

I had my doubts and I still think I had all the right to doubt them... But yeah, they fucking blew everything I thought about this idea out of the fucking ocean.
This track is amazing.

Well I still consider Malevolent Grain and Black Cascade disappointments so I don't find the band infallible, though they more than made up for them with the last album. This one sounds like a winner though.

Might be so but my doubts were msotly about the whole project being like, you know... No drums and not really metal. I didn't think they could pull it off. Turns out they can. At least with this track. Let's hope the rest keeps the quality.

Started out too slow for my liking but picked up for the better around the 7-minute mark. Very nice ethereal music to relax to. Serene and calming, but unfortunately just a little too long for what it offers.

If they would have skipped over the unnecessary 5-minute buildup and condense the middle section a bit the drone part leading up to the ambient outro would have felt more impactful I think.

As much as I was afraid of the new idea or "ethernal" music, mI really loved this one. Sounds immense at the end.
New WitTR would be a highlight of the year if the rest of album is as epic as this one.

This is exactly what I needed after wanting more from that Sunn O))) / Ulver collab. Think this is gonna make two great albums of the year for my sacred ambient genre

There shouldn't be fucks given here about drums and not been black metal. Nathan announced way back in 11 "our next album won't have drums and bm riffs". So people shouldn't stop pooping over this.

Secondly, this new track is amazing. Pretty much what Gallant said. Start took a long runaway and then shit finally hit it off within' 7 min mark. After that, it was just fantastic.

Intrigued about this new record.

Little bit of some ambient albums paysage d'hiver in there.

If i were a band going for a complete different sound i would just go under a different name, like steven king doing richard bachman. At least if it doesn't go down well it wouldn't loose the original names credibility.....then again paysage d'hivers ambient albums still seemed to link up to all the other albums nicely.

nice relaxing track, but would like to hear the rest of the album to see how bored i will get, considering i'm not a fan of drone

...For instance, Wolves in The Drone Room would be appreciated, but it's not likely
Also, cover is not surprising for WITTR and I like it.

Kind of a pointless question - obviously it was HIM who didn't like the "new direction". And this isn't even a new direction, it's just an alternative version of their previous release.

People have so far believed that this is the NEW DIRECTION Wolves went in. Indeed, what Lineage has served for us on platter, this new disc has evolve new strategies and musical direction for us.

I don't know if they want to continue like this or not but if anything new streamed track has to go by, this new record will be blaaaast!
