Heard it like a week ago, but it's good. Much better than Heritage. I like the simplicity and brooding atmosphere.

Hence the "officially" I don't like it actually.

This song was very enjoyable.
But I hope that there will be some more complex songs on the album, this aspect lacked on Heritage...

Very generic sounding for Opeth. Hopefully they innovate a lot more on the other tracks.

Weird thing actually, I was actually happier about Heritage than I was this.
You're right, this song is simple... but for me it's just a bit TOO simple. Like, Metal 101 simple... I dunno, it just doesn't work for me...

Yeah, it's a pretty addicting little track. The vocal pattern is really nice

A good introduction to the new album as far as I'm concerned, hopefully the rest is in the same vein. It's much catchier than Heritage, yet quite aerial and dreamy. Pleasantly surprised.

I kinda agree with you about simplicity of this song, but it's cool somehow and boring at the same time.

Fun thing, after this came out (when it was first leaked), it finally made me listen to Heritage a couple more times and actually like it. But the new song is still meh.

I think he started to play his role in history as an artist ! He never cares about what people think about him at his age , he's more than just a guitarist for headbangers , He is a poet , He's standing beside of great men in history . But I'm worry , It makes me fastidious in music ( as he done before )

^Yeah, Their only rivals would be the immortal classical composers, such as Bach, Beethoven and Mozart. But Opeth still beats them out.

Did you even read his post?
I'd even draw comparisons to Blackwater Park, just no death metal. The song also reminds me of a Finnish band called Kingston Wall.

Kinda boring and repetitive, though the riff did get stuck in my head. I've still got hope for the rest of the album. The video was like Reading Rainbow on acid. But don't take my word for it.

I agree with Joe.
Quite digging this track perhaps even because of its simplicity. And I also didn't have much problems with Heritage. Some tracks on it sucked and some were top quality Opeth songs. This song might be simple but it has a great atmosphere and that is what mainly matters for me.
