Totally surprised this hasn't been discussed here!

Rik passed away recently.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-06-13/british-actor-rik-mayall-died-from-sudden-heart-failure-widow/5520294

Rik was one of my favourite comedians and one of the key guys behind the phenomenal Young Ones and heavy metal spoof Bad News as was in other classics such as Bottom, New Statesman, Drop Dead Fred and Grim Tales as well being Lord Flasheart in Black Adder.

Here Bad News slaughters Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. Rik is the obnxious bass player, Colin Grigson. Believe it or not but Queen guitarist Brian May actually produced it!

Rest In peace and thank you for so much wonderful and hilarious entertainment!

I've always been a massive Bottom fan. I have a lot of Bottom DVDs, my wife doesn't like them so I have to watch them when she's out.

Goodbye Rik.
