Behemoth - Nergal's Autobiography Getting English Edition

Behemoth have revealed that Sacrum Profanum, the autobiography of frontman Nergal, will likely receive an English language release in 2015. They are negotiating the deal with English book publisher Jawbone (Cliff Burton, Randy Rhoads, Max Cavalera) for Nergal's autobiography Sacrum Profanum: The Confession Of The Heretic. According to the death metallers' frontman, the translation is going through the editing process right now.

So, stay tuned for more details regarding that.

Adam "Nergal" Darski's autobiography was already published in Polish in 2012, with the title Spowiedź Heretyka - Sacrum Profanum.

That picture of him reminds me of a famous actor. But I can't seem to be able to remember his name. Help.

Did he really write it himself? I know nothing about his life, and I usually don't take much interest in "celebrity" biographies. The "heretic" part could be interesting though.

Was the ink for the text mixed with his blood?

It was mixed with the blood of the proletariat who fuel the machine for capitalism.

So close enough I suppose.

I actually wanted to read this when it first came out, now, with how douchy Nergal has become, no thanks.

First thing the cover made me think of. Nergal doesn't seem too interesting to me, won't be reading the book

Aww memories. I loved that show. Yeah he has a huge head, too bad he doesn't look as good IRL as in this obviously doctored shot .

It was a good show. And hey, nobody ever looks as good in real life as in pictures, so there's that.

Wrong, there are some very "un-photogenic" people, I'm one of them.
He must pay extra for his hats I bet.

Well, most people. And you seem pretty photogenic to me, but I guess that is another debate altogether and this is probably not the place.

But yeah, if I was Nergal, I'd be wearing lots of hats. Or growing my hair out, although he might be getting to an age where that's getting harder to do.

Indeed not the place, let's close that chapter by saying those pics are very carefully chosen .
I think he is growing bald, or that he has very thin hair. Either way, he seems to be done with long hair.

What's the story's main focus, Behemoth or his fight with leukemia?

You think darkness is your ally? You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it. Molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was a man. But it was nothing to me but blinding.

It touches all the aspects of his life. And the book itself is made in the form of an interview: a question and then an answer. Also, the book is quite long - almost 400 pages.
