I saw the review of that album on TheNeedleDrop and Pitchfork and since it was described as "the ultimate black metal troll" I could not resist listening to it.

I mean, black metal covers deformed through a House lens, that's bound to be at least interesting.

In the end, a lot of the songs fall a bit flat but there are actual great bangers, and good ideas all over the place.

A recommended listen if you're open to electronic music.

Here's my favorite of the bunch, a Sargeist cover:

Definitely not House, really not as outrageous as it would seem as it has sort of an industrial sound to it. Interesting, but not something I'd go out of the way to listen to.

Honestly there's not one bit of house in there, it's all industrial except the Snap sample ("The Power") and a few hip-hop beats at the end. I was expecting something a lot more commercial sounding. In the end that track sounds like Diapsiquir/Blacklodge on a lot of Valium covering Sargeist. I would have loved a link to a page with more information on this, but I took my little lazy mouse and listened to other covers. I don't see any trolling in there, more like an homage in a different style, that ends up falling a lot closer to the tree than one would think. "Metalheads" get easily butthurt over nothing.

I'm disappointed at the lack of rustled kvltheads on the YT channel. I was hoping to get in some fights.

I almost don't want to report it just to see it pop out somewhere else.

Definitely not House, ...

I did stupidly post the song on the album that's the farthest from House.

The album is actually a patchwork of electronic styles, House being only one of them.

Any examples of a housier song from the album?
