You know how it is in Chile. Throw a couple severed pig heads at your fans and nobody says a thing. Argentinians just aren't up to par.

I like the fact there's "black metal" written. As if the rest of the poster screamed visual kei.

No. In 1987 The Cure visited Argentina for the first time. The show was oversold and a lot of people were injured. People threw rocks and bottles to the stage, and the band ended their set abruptly. A hot dog salesman died from a heart attack, dogs were killed and police patrols were set on fire.

And people wonder why Argentine isn't a hotspot destination for bands...

C'mon!... That's just not true. That was almost 25 years ago. More people are injured in metal shows in the US than here. You know that!

Haha. Okay okay. I was like "are we talking about the same Robert Smith? The goth version of the michelin man turned satanist?".

A hot dog salesman died from a heart attack

This would be a really tragic sounding post if this particular bit didn't sound so funny.

Huh. I've always pictured the majority of The Cure's fanbase as mild-mannered, docile goths. Kinda surprising to find out they're so badass. xD

Only when Morrissey is being witty rather than absolutely miserable.

oh well, no Paraguay on the tour. apparently they get some shows down here. Asuncion is the South American Tucson. City of 1m or so (including suburbs) occasionally used as a mid-week tour spot in between bigger cities. Just replace LA/Phoenix/Denver/Vegas with Rio/Buenos Aires/Santiago...
