The expendables 3 teaser is a powerful tune
1 the whistle part " Bridge on the River Kwai " theme tune created in 1914
2 part feels like the Perfect circle - counting bodies like sheep 2004

but i have a fuzzy memory of hearing the drum part before 2004 in on of my pirate burzum or mayhem cd's
don't have the cd's any more, so can anyone correct me!

1914? Wow, wow, wow!!!! Especially when you take into consideration that the film was made in 1957 and that the bridge itself was built during WWII

The piece was originally written in 1914 by Kenneth Alford. It was accompanied by a counter-melody (known as "The River Kwai March") written by the film's composer, Malcolm Arnold, and played by the off-screen orchestra taking over from the whistlers.

the red alert march does not ring any bells. Sorry

Anybody else got some ideas.

well of course but the tune arrangement from the film is indeed called "Bridge Over The River Kwai Theme"(the whistling and stuff).
fun fact the film Great Escape have same tune for its main theme :
----
"Cross is only an iron, hope is just an illusion, freedom is nothing but a name..."
"Build your walls of the dead stone...Build your roofs of a dead wood..Build your dreams of a dead thoughts"

Pretty sure the drum part in the teaser is from this:

Classic tune.
