do you know any languages that were simply invented by some over-imaginative fantasy writer? i know a bit of lord of the rings-elvish, but that's all
mellon=friend(the entrance to moria)
amon=mountain(amon sul, amon hen etc.)
sul=weather(weatherwatch)
caras=fort(or city, whatever)
minas=fort or city
ithil=moon
-dor=land(mordor, gondor etc)
morgul=sorcery
tirith=stone
amarth=fire(:banger: )
-hrim(suffix)=people(galadhrim=galadriel's people;haradhrim=harad people)
and in the darven language, i know "khazad dum" means "the dwarves are upon you"
klingon, anyone?

The 'fantasy based language' which is being discussed above is called 'black speech' isn't it? introduced by JRR Tolkien.

When talking about elven languages, The Grey Company just has to be brought up. You'll find there enormous English-Elven-English dictionary as well as complete grammar rules. It's based on Tolkien's works, though much expanded.
