I'm a big fan of JJ Grey & Mofro. It's a different band depending on what song you're listening to - some of their stuff is pretty close to southern rock, or CCR-esque swamp rock, other stuff is more blues rock, while sometimes it picks up a bit of a Motown sound. Good mellow stuff, worth checking out:
