Well, here is the new crappy music thread, so here you can spite all the bad music you want... by the way, i hate all that reggaeton crap, but that gasolina song...it's just nauseous... makes me sick
Something by blink 182. pop punk is generally bad enough, but i was at an open mic night and there was a really annoying tribute act that kept doing whiny fake voices when they introduced each song. now i have to leave the room if i hear it
That's funny, I was thinking the same thing about you
And, like Lamb of God, Shadows Fall are a modern variant of thrash that is often confused as metalcore by many. If you can't see that then that's just a shortcoming on your part.
Candlemass and Evoken are both doom yet sound nothing
alike, Burzum and Deathspell Omega are both black yet sound
nothing alike, Entombed and Necrophagist are both death but
sound nothing alike. My point is that your list highlights
generic sounding thrash that all sounds similar without
taking modern variations into account.
Hey, you know another band with a lot of thrash in their
sound? Slipknot.

How do I fail?
It pisses me me of when people call the pop boys in shitknot thrash or even metal.
They use rap in their music.
And they have a DJ,thats proof they are not real metal.

And you are the expert to tell us what metal is and what is not?
As you just demonstrated, you're the very definition of what is known as a "poseur" with an internet heard mentality. Perhaps as you grow up you'll stop the knee-jerk responses the internet taught you.
Funny, especially considering that BtBaM haven't been metalcore since Colors.
Also Shadows Fall is thrash because they use thrash riffs and structures, the only metalcore about them is the vocals and having a slightly higher focus on breakdowns than most authentic thrash bands. But if you think thrash does not have breakdowns then I'd look around the works of Slayer, Machine Head and Pantera a lot.
Plus, there is like literally zero pop appeal in the works of Despised Icon, BtBaM, Shadows Fall and the likes, unlike the 200 euroflowerpinkponyknightfightsdragonswithemeraldswordofthemagicsparklingdragonfire metal bands which sound like pop music with chuggalug rhythm riffage.
Ps: Fyi, emo is a subgenre of hardcore punk and sounds nowhere near metalcore, save for a couple of metalcore/post-hardcore hybrid bands.
Emo is "truer" than metal on average, in my experience. Granted, that has to do with metal's greater popularity and thus the proliferation of generic bands for mass marketing, which drag down the quality.
I'd never heard Shadows Fall before, always thought they were metalcore. The first few seconds of the song stripped me of that assumption. I suggest Metalpansy92 spend a few more years listening to metal and other music, and learning to control hormonal urges. We can hardly blame an undeveloped child/youth for adopting the habitus portrayed by ridiculous metal stereotypes all around us.
Deathcore and metalcore is just generic emo music that all sound the same.
They try to be metal but fail.
Oh and I forgot this:
I hope you realize metalcore is more of an umbrella term than an actual genre - meaning that it is way more diverse in general than the vast majority of the traditional metal genres, save for perhaps black metal, because it contains multiple sub- and sub-sub genres and sounds and directions.
I've never bothered to look into this genre further because I've always associated it with Fallout Boy and that sort of crap, but I see now that's not the case.

Glad you like it, if you check my "Screamo/Emo/Post-Hardcore" topic in the rock forum you will find many similiar stuff there. Emo originally started out pretty harsh, and it branched even harsher (into screamo and emoviolence), but like with most stuff it got exposed to the mainstream. I would not call most of those stuff emo though since there is zero hardcore element to it, and well, emo comes from "emotive hardcore" so yeah.
I liked very much their early albums, but "Wot We Do" from Queensrÿche is probably the worst song I've ever heard. It would not be good even in Bieber's discography. Sure is that it's worse than "Baby, baby, baby, ooooooooh".

From Green Day to Metal the road's been hard, but I'm here. And that's what's important.
Most current radio-pop is an easy target but I will single out Katy Perry - Black and White and Nicki Minaj - Superbass as being particularly obnoxious, though most anything i've heard from those two grates my ears raw.

Also Metallica - Hero of the Day.
I agree fully about Nicki Minaj - she is the most ridiculous person in mainstream music today. This 'song' and 'video' is seriously one the worst things I've ever experienced:

so bad that it's good. almost. and the title sums it up well
