Slipknot - Former Drum Tech Reveals New Drummer And Bassist

In typical cat-out-of-bag fashion, recently a former drum tech for Slipknot has posted a photo online, now deleted, of his personal itinerary which lists all the current members of the band, including their new drummer and bassist, whose identities Slipknot has not officially revealed. The band's drummer is Jay Weinberg and their bassist is Allessandro "Vman" Venturella (Krokodil). There were rumors about them before but the band said that maybe they would never confirm it.

The itinerary photo was posted on Instagram by Norm Costa, who has worked in the music business for 22 years. He has worked for Mastodon and as the drum tech for Slayer's former drummer Dave Lombardo. According to Costa, he was hired by Slipknot to work as Weinberg's drum tech, but was recently relieved of his duties. Maybe he was pissed and decided that the truth would come out at last?

Frontman Corey Taylor has also said previously that the new drummer and bassist are not official members, and only time will tell whether they become full members.

Slipknot have a new album out called .5: The Gray Chapter and have been touring to promote it. The band was also nominated for Best Metal Performance in the Grammy Awards for their song "The Negative One".
