Disturbed - David Draiman Says The Band Will Return

Back in 2011, Davin Draiman, the singer of alternative metal band Disturbed, announced through his Twitter account that the band was going on indefinite hiatus. Again via Twitter, the frontman now says that the hiatus will end - although he doesn't know when. So, that's helpful! Maybe the new year can bring more activity in the Disturbed camp.

Draiman was off the road for most of last year after the birth of his son brought an early end to touring with side-project Device.

Now Draiman says via Twitter: "Disturbed will reunite... some day. I have no idea when. No clue on Device either. Ooh wa ah ah ah."

Come back with something like The Sickness or GTFO.

I'd rather more like Indestructible.

And why are they called Nu metal? They haven't been remotely close to Nu metal since Believe. Changing that.

The latest I listened to was 10 000 fists, might be a good occasion to see what they've been up to . Agreed for the genre change.

I've enjoyed and love every one of their albums, but I can't see them pulling off another Sickness. Not with how far they've evolved from that style.

Technically Draiman already tried to recreate some of that early Disturbed style and attitude, and look at how abysmal Device turned out.

Hmm...but why? I listened to all Disturbed albums and they sounds just the same. Even songs - they have usually two types of it - slow and heavy or fast. Even Device isn't industrial. Still don't get this hype about them. They have no idea to make Disturbed fresh and interesting.

I'm not much of a fan anymore, but Indestructible is still my favorite album of theirs.

I remember I gave my sister The Sickness for a year or two ago... I just figured out I did't like it anymore. I might give it another listen to think if something happens again.
I recall some songds from Believe to be decent though.

Also, that video was fucking hilarious Troy. Thanks for sharing.

The Land Of Confusion cover is still the one song I'm playing by them. So something like that would be fantastic.

Probably the most interesting thing about this update: Is it Drainman or Draiman?
It is spelled both Drainman and Draiman in this news, it's Draiman on the band profile, plus it's Draiman on the news title...

Your point?

Point is that, unless someone else writes their music for them, it probably won't sound quite that good.

Unless you mean for them to do an album of cover songs. I could dig that. Their cover for Midlife Crisis was pretty decent too, to be honest.
