Heidevolk - New Music Video Released
Here is some folk metal for you courtesy of Heidevolk. The Dutch group just debuted the first video for a song taken from their new opus, Velua. Yet another song that sounds just like every other song they have written. I want to like these guys and think they have a different sound, but adding more death growls is not what they need. The musicianship is always what has needed a significant step up. My 6 year old daughter could play these guitar and drum parts. Just dull and honestly lazy songwriting.

I like the tasteful addition of harsh vocals, but I agree they're still kinda boring. I wonder if that's an artifact of their sound, it's so rarefied that anything they do sounds the same as all their other material, and it's hard to do anything new without sacrificing the sound people have come to recognize them for.

Cool music vid, what every folk vid should be like but agree with everyone else the song is pretty boring... Folk needs some new bands.
