Grammy Awards - Best Metal Performance Nominations
The nominations for the 58th annual Grammy Awards were announced today. For the Best Metal Performance category you have five nominees. Those include Swedes Ghost, August Burns Red, Lamb Of God, Sevendust and Slipknot. Slipknot are nominated for the second year in a row for the same record, .5: The Gray Chapter albeit for a different song. At least they didn't nominate a cover this year, right? Slipknot's .5: The Gray Chapter is also nominated for Best Rock Album. They are nominated in both rock and metal categories.
"Best Metal Performance" category nominees:
August Burns Red: "Identity" (from Found In Far Away Places)
Ghost: "Cirice" (from the album Meliora)
Lamb Of God: "512" (from the album VII: Sturm Und Drang)
Slipknot: "Custer" (from the album .5: The Gray Chapter)
Sevendust: "Thank You" (from Kill The Flaw)
Last year, the "Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance" Grammy went to Tenacious D, who were nominated for their cover version of the Dio classic "The Last In Line", from the Ronnie James Dio - This Is Your Life tribute album.

Here's to hoping Ghost gets it. But it will probably be Slipknot who gets it because they are by far and above the biggest band of those 5; the Grammy's are just like the MSA in that regard.
